Fyfe Promoted to Assistant Sports Information Director; DeVriese Hired as Sports Information Assistant

ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College Athletics is proud to announce changes to the Sports Information Department. Former Graduate Sports Information Assistant, Tyler Fyfe, has been promoted to the Assistant Sports Information Director for the 2024-25 academic year, while Nolan DeVriese has been named Sports Information Assistant.

Fyfe graduated from Adrian College in 2022 with his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing before recently graduating again from Adrian College in 2024 with his Master of Arts Degree in Sport Management. While receiving his graduate degree, he served as an intern in the Adrian College Sports Information Office during the 2022-23 academic year before becoming the Graduate Sports Information Assistant for the 2023-24 academic year.

During the 2023-24 academic year, Fyfe served as the primary contact for ACHA men's and women's hockey, cheer and dance, men's and women's rugby, eSports, men's soccer, men's lacrosse, and women's wrestling. Fyfe has also assisted in maintaining the department's record books and archives, and running the Athletic Department social media accounts. Fyfe also served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2023-24 National Champion ACHA Men's Division 1 hockey team and will continue to do so this coming season. From 2018-2023, Fyfe was a member of the ACHA Men's Division 1 hockey team at Adrian, where he played in 162 games scoring 84 goals and 95 assists for 179 total points. He also served as Team Captain during the 2021-22 season and won a National Championship with the Bulldogs in 2021.

DeVriese comes to Adrian College after serving as a Graduate Assistant at Illinois State University last year. During his time at Illinois State, DeVriese was the primary contact for the cross country and track and field teams. He provided full media coverage for cross country and track and field including written content, graphic content, and media days. Also at Illinois State, DeVriese assisted in the operation of live stats for soccer, football, baseball, and basketball games.

Prior to Illinois State, DeVriese served as a summer intern for the University of Northern Colorado in 2021 where he shot media days for football, women's volleyball, and women's soccer while also assisting in updating the department's archives and record books. DeVriese earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management from Loras College where he served as a four-year student assistant in the Athletic Communications Department. During his time at Loras, he assisted in photography, statistics, social media content, streaming, and website maintenance. While at Loras, DeVriese was also a member of the baseball team for two seasons.

Fyfe will begin his responsibilities as the Assistant Sports Information Director immediately, while DeVriese will begin his responsibilities on July 8.
