ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's soccer team stayed hot on Wednesday, shutting out Earlham College at home by a 1-0 score.
The Bulldogs and Quakers battled in a tight match for all ninety minutes, but it was Adrian who found the back of the net and stood tall defensively to hold on and improve to 2-0 on the season. Adrian's
Brett Wojkowski scored the lone tally in the fortieth minute on a header off a beautiful corner kick from
Storm Powers and
Nick Miller.
Freshman goalkeeper,
Eli Sizemore, was lights out for the Bulldogs. The first-year tender made some key saves down the stretch, including a stellar one late to keep the Adrian lead safe. Sizemore earned the win on five saves.
The men's soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, September 7 looking to continue their strong start to 2024. The Bulldogs will kick off against Wittenberg at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
