ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's soccer team secured its first win of the season on Wednesday night after blanking Defiance College, 6-0, at home.
The Bulldogs bounced back from an opening loss to Ohio Wesleyan last weekend with a dominant one-sided performance over the Yellowjackets from Defiance. Over ninety minutes, the Bulldogs registered forty-three shots (seventeen on goal), along with eight corner kicks.
Freshman
Delaney Batur led the way for Adrian on Wednesday, scoring the first two goals of her collegiate career.
Leah Homan,
Ellise Fries,
Alanna Earl, and
Katie O'Dell rounded out the scoring for the home team.
Annamarie Fosmoen,
Emma Dalzochio, and Homan each collected an assist in the contest. Fosmoen's ten shots led her team, while
Kelsey Zoli finished with nine attempts and Earl led with four shots on goal.
All three Bulldog goalkeepers saw action in the match, but did not face a shot.
This Saturday, the Bulldogs will take on Otterbein at 2:00 PM on the road. Live stats, live stream, and tickets to the road game can be found on the Adrian College Athletics website. Â
