Box Score 1 BETHANY, W.V. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team traveled to West Virginia yesterday for a match with Bethany College. The Bulldogs bested the Bison by a match score of 3-0.

Adrian hit the road for their first away contest of the season on Saturday, in hopes of bouncing back from their opening loss to Hiram College on Thursday night at the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. The Bulldogs achieved exactly what they had hoped, coming out on top of the Bison, improving to 1-1 on the year.

Sam Landers led the way for Adrian in the match, tallying 10 kills, 2 assists, and a service ace. Fellow captain, Beck Fieldhouse was right behind him with 9 kills and Carles Baza registered 8 kills to help carry the attack. Andrew Grazcyk led the way in the assists column with 26 and Nathan Webster finished with the most service aces, smashing 3 across the Bethany defenders, and the most solo blocks with 2.

After the win, Adrian geared up for another match, this time taking on the University of Rio Grande (Ohio) in an exhibition bout. The Bulldogs suffered a 3-1 loss.

The Adrian College men's volleyball team will continue action next weekend in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin for three matches. The Bulldogs will battle Westminster College (MO), University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and Marian University on Friday and Saturday.
