MARIAN, Wisc. – The Adrian College men's volleyball team took part in a double-header on Friday at the Marian University quad in Wisconsin. The Bulldogs battled with Westminster College (MO) in the afternoon, dropping the match 3-0, before clashing with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the evening, in a 3-0 loss.
Though out-killing their opponent 43-41 over three sets, Adrian struggled in match one of the day, dropping three straight to Westminster.
Sam Landers led the way with 13 kills and 14 total points,
Nathan Webster finished with the highest attack percentage (.429), while
Andrew Grazcyk collected 39 assists in the defeat.
Adrian came up short again in the night cap, this time to the Pointers of Stevens Point. Landers ended Adrian's second match of the day with a team-lead 11 kills on 31 total attacks. Grazcyk led once again with 19 assists and
Rolen Maclin garnered 10 digs as the Bulldogs were defeated in three straight.
The Bulldogs will be back at it tomorrow afternoon to conclude action in Wisconsin. They'll take on the host, Marian University, at 2:00 PM EST.
