Beaudrie Accounts for Six Touchdowns in Football's Dominant Win over Calvin

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Adrian College football team continued its winning streak on Saturday, improving to 6-0 on the season with a dominant 48-17 victory over Calvin University. The RV Bulldogs now sit at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in MIAA play, marking their first 3-0 conference start since 2013.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. After recovering a fumble, quarterback Noah Beaudrie found the end zone on a 16-yard run to open the scoring. Later in the quarter, Ryan Brumley hauled in a 3-yard touchdown reception to extend the lead.

Adrian kept rolling in the second quarter as Beaudrie added another rushing touchdown before connecting with Tyler Greer and Ethan Abberger for back-to-back passing scores, sending the Bulldogs into halftime with a commanding 35-0 advantage.

In the second half, Jack Boike added a 26-yard field goal before Calvin got on the board with one of their own. Boike later drilled another from 23 yards to make it 41-3. The Knights finally found the end zone midway through the fourth quarter, but Beaudrie answered with his third rushing touchdown of the afternoon to push the lead to 48-10. Calvin added one final touchdown with 2:15 remaining, but Adrian's lead proved insurmountable.

The Bulldogs racked up 528 yards of total offense compared to Calvin's 312. Beaudrie was outstanding once again, completing 25-of-33 passes for 322 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 36 yards and three more scores. Tyler Morgan led the ground attack with 72 yards on 10 carries, and Braiden Whitaker was Beaudrie's top target, catching 11 passes for 164 yards.

Defensively, Liam Karry paced the Bulldogs with 15 total tackles, while Bennett Gilde added 11. Ethan Burrows notched 2.5 tackles for loss, including half a sack and a pass breakup. Chris Jackson forced a fumble, which was recovered by Nelson Fernandez. Boike finished a perfect day, going 2-for-2 on field goals and 6-for-6 on extra points.

Adrian returns home on Saturday, October 25, to host No. 19 Hope College (5-1) in a key MIAA matchup. Saturday's contest will serve as the team's annual Pink Out Game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 PM.
