ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team welcomed Calvin University Knights to the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center for a Saturday afternoon matchup. Despite a strong effort, the Bulldogs fell in straight sets.
Adrian came out hot in the opening set, building early momentum before Calvin found its rhythm midway through. The Knights closed the set on a strong run to take it 25–16.
The second set was a back-and-forth battle, with the Bulldogs fighting hard to the very end before narrowly falling 25–22.
Megan Feldmann and
Lauren Boehmer led the offense with seven kills each, while
Kayla Chan and
Virginia Rowan added five apiece.
Calvin controlled the third set from the start, securing the win 25–13 to close out the match.
Emma Leinberger paced the Bulldogs with 15 assists, while
Chloe Kiser added eight. On the defensive side,
Kora Nicolanti led with nine digs, followed by Boehmer and
Rainie Atherton with seven each.
