ALBION, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team traveled to Albion College on Saturday for a MIAA matchup, putting up a strong fight in a hard-fought 1-0 defeat.
The first half proved to be a defensive showdown, with both teams trading possessions and limiting quality chances. Albion managed to break through in the 20th minute to take the 1-0 lead, despite Adrian generating several promising opportunities and firing off four shots in the half.
The Bulldogs came out determined in the second half, applying more offensive pressure and creating multiple scoring chances. Adrian tallied 10 shots—six of which were on target—while holding Albion to just four shots on net. Despite their efforts, the Bulldogs couldn't find the equalizer as Albion held on for the narrow victory.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday, October 28 where they will make a trip to Calvin University. The match is set to kick-off at 7:00 PM.
