ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 2 hockey team battled Northern Michigan in their home opener this weekend in a couple of hard fought games, falling 4-2 Saturday night and 4-1 Saturday afternoon.

Morgan McKeraghan took the puck coast to coast and broke the Wildcats lead to two. With just four seconds left in the game, senior
Hannah Berenson added her first goal of the season, however that would not be enough as the Bulldogs came up short on the comeback. Junior goaltender
Emily Tracht faced 52 shots from the Wildcats, saving 48 of them.

Katherine Graham capitalized on the powerplay early with her first career goal to give the Bulldogs the 1-0 lead. Following the first period, the Wildcats scored four unanswered goals taking control of the game to give them a weekend sweep. Sophomore goaltender
Chalee Ridenour was in net for the Bulldogs as she faced 40 shots from the Wildcats, saving 36 of them.
The WD2 Bulldogs start their season off 0-2 and will look to regather this week before they head down to Ohio State University Friday for an 8:00pm puck drop. They will host Ohio State Saturday at 4:00pm and host Liberty University Sunday afternoon.
