OLIVET, Mich. – The Adrian College cross country teams competed in the MIAA Championships on Friday, hosted by the University of Olivet. The Bulldogs put together a strong effort, with the men's team placing fifth and the women finishing seventh. The highlight of the day came from Will Houvener, who delivered an outstanding performance to take second place individually and earn First Team All-MIAA honors.
The men's race opened the day, and Houvener led the Bulldogs with a time of 25:08.7 to claim the runner-up spot. Chase Nyack followed in 49th with a solid time of 27:07.1, while Gavin Shelton battled to a 67th-place finish in 27:36.2. Ryan Morris crossed next in 80th at 27:58.6, with Beau Shaffer close behind in 89th at 28:08.7. Joshua Sharp-Pelto finished right on his heels in 90th at 28:09.9, and Eric Ramsey rounded out the Bulldog lineup in 93rd with a time of 28:11.8.
On the women's side, Bridget Waterstradt led the way for Adrian, placing 48th with a time of 24:13.3. Lily Etelamaki came through in 85th at 25:34.7, followed closely by Olivia Hyatt in 86th with a mark of 25:36.2. Isabell Peltier finished 91st with a time of 25:55.9, while Emma Frost crossed in 97th at 26:07.3. Ava Arnes placed 103rd in 26:36.4, and Alayna Paeth closed out the team's effort in 105th with a time of 26:43.5.
