TIFFIN, Ohio – The Adrian College women's wrestling team showcased their skills at the Tiffin Women's Open on Saturday.
In the 103-pound class,
Alexis Baumgartner opened the day with two impressive fall victories and decision sudden victory before concluding her run with a 3-2 record.
Carleigh Czerneski who is competing in the 117-pound class, also went 3-2 on the day. She secured three wins by fall with a decision loss in round three and five.
Zionah Gardner competed in the 145-pound class, finishing 4-2 on the day. She secured three wins by fall in the first three rounds, then took a tech fall loss in the fourth round, a decision win in round five, and a tough tech fall in the final round.
Mia Gaetjens had a standout day in the 180-pound class, finishing with a 4-0 record. Gaetjens recorded two wins by fall, a tech fall in round two, and a decision in round 3.
Adrian will host the Adrian College Women's Duals on Saturday, November 8, and the Adrian College Invitational on Sunday, November 9.
