ADRIAN, Mich. – The latest NCAA Division III football rankings were released Monday by D3football.com and the AFCA, with the Adrian College Bulldogs continuing to make national noise. Adrian remained among the teams receiving votes in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll and climbed to No. 24 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.
The Bulldogs sit at 8-1 overall and 5-1 in MIAA play. Adrian earned 22 voting points in the D3football.com rankings, the second-highest total among teams outside the top 25. The No. 24 spot in the AFCA poll marks the Bulldogs' first national ranking of the season.
Adrian is coming off a 44-21 win over Trine University. After falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter, the Bulldogs responded in dominant fashion, shutting out the Thunder the rest of the way and cruising to victory.
Within the MIAA, Hope College ranks No. 15 in the AFCA poll and No. 16 by D3football.com, while Alma College continues to receive votes in both rankings. Adrian also sits at No. 37 in the latest NPI Rankings, the computer-generated system used to determine NCAA Tournament seeding and at-large qualifiers.
The Bulldogs will travel to Alma College this weekend in a pivotal matchup with postseason implications. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, November 15 at 2:00 PM.
