KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Adrian College women's volleyball team headed to Kalamazoo College for a midweek MIAA contest. The Bulldogs pulled off a 2-set comeback to pick up a win on the road.
From the opening serve, it was clear this match would be tightly contested. The Hornets took the first set 25–20, but Adrian answered with authority in the second, evening the match at one apiece with a commanding 25–18 win.
The third set proved to be a nail-biter, extending into extra points before Kalamazoo edged it out 27–25. Refusing to back down, the Bulldogs stormed back in the fourth, fueled by strong offensive play from Megan Feldmann, who led the team with 14 kills, and Virginia Rowan, who added 13. Emma Leinberger set the tone offensively with an impressive 39 assists, helping Adrian force a decisive fifth set.
In the final set, the Bulldogs took control early and never looked back, closing out the match with a dominant 15–9 performance to secure the 3–2 victory. On the defensive end, Leinberger led the way with 19 digs, followed closely by Rainie Atherton and Amelia McCombs, who each tallied 17.
It was a complete team effort as Adrian battled through adversity to claim a hard-fought conference win on the road.
