ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's basketball team welcomed Bluffton University on Monday night for an action-packed matchup inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. Despite a strong start, the Bulldogs ultimately fell to the Beavers, 91–77.

Adrian came out firing in the opening half, jumping out to a 13–2 run to set the tone early. The Bulldogs maintained control throughout the first half, playing with energy on both ends of the floor and carrying an 11-point advantage into the locker room, 46–35.

Bluffton responded after the break, turning up the pressure and slowly building momentum in the second half. The contest turned into a hard-fought battle down the stretch as the Beavers clawed their way back, eventually taking the lead and knocking down timely shots to pull ahead. Adrian looked to spark one final run, but time proved to be a factor as the Bulldogs were unable to close the gap, falling 91–77.

Adrian shot 42 percent from the field, 31 percent from three-point range, and 14-of-18 from the free-throw line. Darrius Welch led the Bulldogs with 19 points, adding seven rebounds, one assist, and three steals. Jeremiah Dallas followed with 17 points, six rebounds, and a season-high seven assists, while Brendon Schlink chipped in 16 points and four rebounds.

Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, December 31 where they will host Hiram College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
