ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team opened their home series against Concordia Wisconsin on Friday night, but despite several scoring chances, they were unable to find the back of the net, falling 1-0 to the Falcons.
The first period ended in a scoreless tie, with both teams unable to break through. In the second period, Concordia Wisconsin found the game's only goal. The Bulldogs outshot the Falcons, 42-15, but struggled to convert on their opportunities. Adrian entered the game with the highest power play percentage in the country at the Division III level but went 0-for-5 on the night with the man advantage.
Maya Roy and Jocelin Hudanish each led the Bulldogs with six shots on goal, while Annika Hanson and Courtney Ben added five shots apiece. Annie Gilbert started in goal for Adrian and recorded 14 saves in the loss.
The Bulldogs will conclude the series tomorrow afternoon against Concordia Wisconsin, with puck drop scheduled for 3:00 PM. Prior to warm-ups, the team will honor its senior class of 2025 at 2:00 PM.
