Men's Volleyball Honor Senior Class of 2025 Ahead of Impressive Win over Calvin

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team held Senior Day at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center on Saturday afternoon, where they ended the special day with a tantalizing 3-1 route over MCVL rival, Calvin University.

Before the match, the Bulldogs held a ceremony to honor Seniors Maxim Gutierrez, Zach Molnar, Micah Low, and Beck Fieldhouse. Each student-athlete was recognized, alongside their family members, for their hard work and achievements as Bulldogs over their tenures.

After a tight loss to Trine the night before, the Bulldogs came out looking to redeem themselves and take what was theirs in a battle with the Knights from Calvin. Adrian did just that, winning the first set for the second straight game. Adrian then surrendered the second set to Calvin, but followed it up with two more solid performances, winning 25-17 and 26-24 to wrap the match and seal the home victory.

Over the course of four extremely competitive sets, the Bulldogs received key contributions from their top players. Sam Landers led his team with 14 total kills and 2 solo blocks, while adding 9 digs of his own. Rolen Maclin led the charge with 16 digs and Zach Molnar grabbed 12 kills, 6 digs, 2 service aces, and 3 block assists. Carson Bell registered 7 kills and a service ace, and leading assists man, Andrew Graczyk, tallied 42 total helpers to round out the attack.

Another key contributor for the Bulldogs on Saturday was Fieldhouse, who scored 8 kills, 8 digs, and a huge game-winning block assist in the fourth set to earn the win for his team. William Morris also grabbed a block assist on the winning play.

Saturday's victory moved the Bulldogs to 2-5 in MCVL play with one more game remaining in the regular season. The Bulldogs will return to the court next Friday, April 4 against Wabash in Indiana.

Beck Fieldhouse stopped by for a post-game chat to reminisce on the win, his victorious block, and the past four years as a Bulldog.
