LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Adrian College women's lacrosse team took a road trip down south to Spalding University where the Bulldogs dominated on the field in the 18-2 victory, highlighted by senior Zoe Weber netting four goals.
Adrian's offense was on fire from the start, with seven goals in the opening quarter. Weber played a key role, netting three of her four goals in that first period. She finished the game with an impressive four goals on six shots, along with two assists, one ground ball, and one draw control.
The Bulldogs maintained their momentum in the second quarter, adding another seven goals. Senior Mariana Miller had a standout performance, scoring three goals, assisting on two, collecting three ground balls, and causing two turnovers. Sophomore Madeline Turcotte also delivered, with three goals, one assist, two ground balls, and a caused turnover.
The team continued their dominance with three more goals in the third quarter and added a final one in the fourth to seal the victory over Spalding University.
It was a true team effort, with 11 different Bulldogs contributing to the scoreline. Freshman Bella Norton was a rock in net, allowing just one goal and making one save. Senior Jordan Hunt played the fourth quarter as she allowed one goal and saved two goals.
Adrian is back in action on Friday, March 14 where they will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to take on MSOE. The opening draw is set for 5:00 PM EST.
