ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCSA D1 softball team returned to action on the road to their nearby rival, Siena Heights University. The Bulldogs would take an early lead and would hold for a commanding 11-6 defeat over the Saints in Tuesday's away contest.
 
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 9-1 lead after the first inning. Siena Heights would storm back with three runs in the bottom of the third, leaving the score at 9-4.
 
In the sixth inning, Adrian added two more runs, and Siena Heights would score one run. The Saints scored one more run in the bottom of the seventh, but it ultimately wasn't enough, as the Bulldogs would come away with the 11-6 victory.
 
Over the course of the ballgame, both Kaitlyn Fry and Taylor Campbell would take the circle for Adrian. Fry would pitch 4.0 innings, and Campbell would pitch for 3.0 innings, for three strikeouts. Michelle Huffman ended the game with two runs off of two hits, also driving in three RBIs. Courtney Robertson also put on a show of her own for the Bulldogs, adding three runs off of three hits, and driving in three RBIs.
 
Adrian's NCSA D1 softball team is back in action at home on Sunday, April 6th, where the team will face off against Grand Valley State University for a triple-header with the Lakers, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
