ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCSA D1 softball team returned to play at their home AC Softball Field to face off against the team from Grand Valley State University in a triple-header. The Bulldogs would lose the first two games 7-14 and 10-12, but would bounce back for a win in the final matchup of the day, and win 8-3.

GAME 1
In the first game of the day, the Bulldogs would end the first inning with a 2-1 lead, but the Lakers would rally back with six more runs to Adrian's three, making the score 7-5. In what would continue to be a back-and-forth contest between the two teams when it comes to scoring, Grand Valley would hold their lead for the remaining innings and win this one, 14-7. Elizabeth Grady and Michelle Huffman shine, both scoring three runs. Greer Simpson would add two runs off her own, also driving in two RBIs. Kaitlyn Fry was also dominant, scoring two runs and driving in two RBIs.

GAME 2
Mirroring the first game of the day, the Bulldogs would take an early lead against the Lakers after the first inning, and Grand Valley would fight back with four runs in the second, for an early 4-1 deficit for Adrian. In the fourth inning, the Lakers would score four more runs to Adrian's one, now  making it a 7-2 game. The seventh is where the comeback began for the Bulldogs, scoring five runs to end the inning to tie it up at 7-7. A back-and-forth eighth and ninth inning would lead to extra innings in this one, but the Lakers would score two runs to Adrian's zero. Grand Valley would steal this one with a 12-10 final score. Elizabeth Grady, Brianna Scott, and Halry Holmes would all bring in two runs for the Bulldogs in this one. Holmes would also pitch in all ten innings with four strikeouts.
