Madeline Turcotte Tallied Seven Goals in Win Over Kalamazoo College 14-9

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Adrian College women's lacrosse team headed to Kalamazoo College for the final game of the 2025 regular season. The Bulldogs came away with the tough road victory 14-9 and now set their sights on the MIAA Playoffs.

With their season hanging in the balance, the Adrian College women's lacrosse team delivered a statement win, defeating Kalamazoo 14-9 in a thrilling contest that secured their spot in the MIAA playoffs for the first time since 2014.

Madeline Turcotte wasted no time making her presence felt, striking early with a goal in the first two minutes of the game. She didn't stop there, the sophomore midfielder went on to score twice more in the opening quarter, notching a natural hat trick to give the Bulldogs a powerful start.

The offensive firepower continued into the second quarter. Mariana Miller added a goal early in the frame, and moments later, Turcotte found the back of the net once again for her fourth of the game. Kalamazoo responded with a strong run, however, rattling off several unanswered goals to take a 7-5 lead into halftime.

But the Bulldogs weren't going away quietly.

Turcotte opened the third quarter with her fifth goal, and Zoe Weber quickly followed to tie the game at seven. With time winding down in the quarter, Turcotte struck again, her sixth of the afternoon to give Adrian a narrow one-goal edge heading into the final 15 minutes.

The fourth quarter was all Bulldogs. Fueled by momentum and a sense of urgency, Adrian erupted for six goals to seal the win. Abby Malone sparked the run, Turcotte added her seventh, and the Bulldogs got contributions from Sarah Gross, Miller, Malone again, and Weber, who capped the scoring at 14.

In goal, Bella Norton stood tall, playing all 60 minutes and making eight key saves to secure the victory.

Adrian is back in action on Saturday, April 26 where they will play in the first round of the MIAA Tournament. Game time and opponent and TBD.
