HOLLAND, Mich.- The Adrian College women's lacrosse team headed to Holland, Michigan for the semifinals of the MIAA women's lacrosse tournament against Hope College.
Adrian College wrapped up a successful 2025 campaign with a tough semifinal loss to top-seeded Hope, falling 21-4 in conference tournament play.
Hope came out strong, jumping to an early 2-0 lead. Madeleine Turcotte responded with a free-position goal to put the Bulldogs on the board, and Maggie Bean followed with back-to-back scores to tie the game at three. Despite the momentum, Hope closed out the first quarter on a five-goal run and carried that surge into the second, adding four more before the break. Adrian entered halftime trailing 11-3.
In the second half, Hope continued its offensive push. Sarah Gross found the back of the net late in the third quarter, recording her first goal of the game and capping Adrian's scoring. The Bulldogs battled through the fourth, generating several good looks on goal, but ultimately couldn't close the gap.
With the loss, Adrian concludes the season with a solid 12-6 overall record, including a 3-5 mark in MIAA play. The Bulldogs earned their spot in the conference tournament and building a strong foundation for the future. The Bulldogs had two All-MIAA players with Madeline Turcotte and Mey Sun.
