HOLLAND, Mich. - The Adrian College women's lacrosse team took a trip to Holland, Michigan to take on Hope College on Saturday afternoon where the Bulldogs fell short 17-7, highlighted by Abby Malone scoring three goals.

Hope College came out strong with an early lead, but it was Maggie Bean who got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard first, netting a quick goal to make it 2-1 in favor of Hope. Abby Malone answered back for Adrian, scoring twice in the first quarter to narrow Hope's lead. Madeline Turcotte struck late in the quarter as Hope led 7-4  at the break.

The second quarter saw the Bulldogs struggle to find their rhythm, as Hope extended their lead to 13-4 by halftime.

Adrian found some momentum in the third as Malone completed her hat trick early, followed by Kacie Woodall's first goal of the game to cut into Hope's lead. But as the game moved into the fourth quarter, Hope still held the advantage. Woodall would add another goal for the Bulldogs, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Hope, securing a 17-7 victory.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday, April 8 as they will host Saint Mary's College at 4:00 PM.
