ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College baseball team wrapped up its regular season on Friday night with a doubleheader against Albion College. In between games, the Bulldogs honored its senior Class of 2025 consisting of 15 seniors. On the field, things didn't go as planned for the Bulldogs as they dropped both games of the doubleheader 3-2 and 6-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second on an RBI single from Rolando Jimenez.
- In the third, David Kedrow hit a sacrifice fly for Adrian to extend the lead to 2-0.
- Albion got on the board in the fifth after a Bulldog error to make it 2-1.
- In the seventh, Albion tied the game up at 2-2.
- Albion took advantage of more Bulldog errors in the ninth and pulled ahead 3-2 to win the game.
- The Bulldogs totaled six hits in the contest with two coming from Ryan Davis.
- Landon Kozlowski started on the mound for the Bulldogs tossing four innings and allowing no runs on two hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2
- The Bulldogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning with the help of an RBI double from Brendan Willadsen and a sacrifice fly from Joe Casale.
- Adrian added another run in the fifth inning with the bases loaded to lead 3-0.
- Albion got on the board in the sixth to make it 3-1, but Willadsen answered in the bottom of the inning with a 2-run homer to lead 5-1.
- The Bulldogs struggled defensively in the eighth inning and allowed five runs to give Albion a 6-5 lead.
- Adrian went down fighting as they had runners on second and third with one out in the bottom of the ninth, but could manage to tie the game.
- Willadsen and Kedrow led the Bulldogs with two hits apiece in game two of the series.
- Adrian pitched by committee in game two of the doubleheader as they totaled 11 pitchers in the contest.
