Men's Soccer Falls to Wilmington on the Road

WILMINGTON, Ohio - Adrian College men's soccer fell 3–0 on the road Friday night against an unbeaten Wilmington (OH) squad at Townsend Field at Williams Stadium.

The Bulldogs struggled to find an attacking rhythm, finishing with just two shots over 90 minutes, none of them on target. Meanwhile, Wilmington controlled play from the start, generating 34 total shots and forcing Adrian goalkeeper sophomore Eli Sizemore into action throughout the night. Sizemore recorded an impressive 11 saves, including nine in the second half, to keep the bulldogs within striking distance for much of the match.

Wilmington broke through in the 31st minute with a goal credited as a team score after a penalty kick sequence. The Quakers doubled their lead in the 74th minute. The hosts put the match out of reach in the 85th minute as the Quakers converted from close range.

With the result, Adrian falls to 2-5-0 on the season, while Wilmington improves to 6-0-1 and remains unbeaten.
