OBERLIN, Ohio - The Adrian College Bulldogs opened the Oberlin College Invitational in dominant fashion Friday evening, sweeping the College of Wooster in straight sets to secure their first victory of the season.
Adrian set the tone early with a commanding 25-16 win in the opening set and carried that momentum into the second, cruising to a 25-18 victory. The Bulldogs closed out the match with a strong 25-21 performance in the third set, leaving no doubt in their first win of the year.
Leading the attack was Megan Feldmann, who paced the Bulldogs with a team-high 11 kills, sparking the offense from the start. Virginia Rowan added 10 kills of her own, while Lauren Boehmer chipped in seven.
At the setter position, Kendall Sullivan dished out 17 assists, complemented by Megan Reckling's 15. Defensively, Rowan, Boehmer, and Kayla Chan each came up with a block, while Kora Nicolanti anchored the back row with 13 digs. Rowan added seven digs to round out her strong all-around performance.
