ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's hockey team closed out its series against the University of Dubuque in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Spartans 6–1 to complete the sweep inside Arrington Ice Arena.
The Bulldogs wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as Courtney Ben lit the lamp early with an assist from Paige Pomerleau. Ten minutes later, Pomerleau joined the scoring column herself, finding the back of the net off assists from Riley Johnson and Sophia LaColla to give Adrian a 2–0 advantage.
Adrian continued to build momentum in the second period when Parker Beyer extended the lead with a goal, assisted by Pomerleau. In the third period, Maddy Loe added a shorthanded goal to push the Bulldogs ahead 4–1. Ben followed with her second goal of the game, set up by Johnson, before Beyer put the nail in the coffin with a late goal, assisted by Johnson and Ben.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Friday, January 30 where they will travel to St. Norbert. The first game is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
