FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced its Preseason Poll for baseball as voted on by the league's coaches. The Adrian College baseball team was selected as the preseason favorite to repeat as MIAA Conference Champions, earning 48 points and six first-place votes.
The Bulldogs are coming off a strong 2025 campaign, finishing with a 30-18 overall record and a 16-5 mark in MIAA play. Adrian secured the No. 1 seed in the MIAA Tournament after capturing the regular-season title and battled through the elimination rounds to claim the tournament championship and the league's NCAA Automatic Qualifier. The Bulldogs went on to host the NCAA Regional, advancing to the Regional Championship game before falling as the No. 4 seed to the eventual national champions.
Kalamazoo was projected second with two first-place votes, followed by Alma in third, Calvin in fourth, and Hope in fifth. Albion, Trine, and Olivet rounded out the MIAA Preseason Poll.
Adrian once again faces a challenging non-conference schedule and will open the season with a three-game weekend series at LaGrange College. The Bulldogs enter the season ranked No. 20 in the D3baseball.com National Poll and are slated to face three Top-25 opponents and four additional teams receiving votes during non-conference play.
The Bulldogs will open the 2026 season on Friday, February 20, against LaGrange College at 2:00 p.m. in Georgia. MIAA Conference play begins with a three-game home series against Alma starting Friday, March 27, at 4:00 p.m.
