ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's basketball team played host to Albion College on Saturday afternoon for their final conference game of the regular season. This game served as Senior Day for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs unfortunately fell to the Brits, 103–94.
Adrian started strong, leading in the first half 51–45, shooting an impressive 20-of-32 from the field and 4-of-10 from three-point range. The Bulldogs were led in scoring by
Luke Rager with 15 points, followed by
Darrius Welch with an impressive 12.
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs could not keep up their impressive shooting in the second half. From the field, they shot a solid 14-of-35 and 5-of-17 from three-point range. This allowed the Brits to take the lead and finish the game on top. The Bulldogs' leading scorer in the second half was
Seth Logan with an impressive 15 points.
For the game, the Bulldogs went 34-of-67 from the field, a 50.7% field goal percentage. From three-point range, they shot 9-of-27 (33.3%). Finally, from the charity stripe, they shot a fantastic 17-of-18 (94.4%). In the end, the Bulldogs had three players eclipse the 20-point mark:
Luke Rager (22),
Darrius Welch (21), and
Seth Logan (21).
The Bulldogs have officially claimed the No. 6 seed for the MIAA Tournament and will travel on the road for the Quarterfinal round on Tuesday, February 24 to face Calvin University at 7:00 PM.
