ADRIAN, Mich. -- Adrian College hosted Albion College Tuesday evening, dominating the dual, earning a decisive 36–4 team victory on senior day.
The Bulldogs jumped out early with a forfeit win at 103 pounds from
Alexis Baumgartner, setting the tone for the match. After a double forfeit at 110, Adrian quickly built momentum with back-to-back technical falls.
Carleigh Czerneski cruised to a 10–0 tech fall over Gabriella Motz at 117, followed by
Sophia Renteria's commanding 12–0 technical fall at 124.
Adrian continued to roll through the middle weights, highlighted by Mason Harsch's pin of Danielle Ruiz at 131 and Taylor Cutler's lightning-fast fall at 160, ending the match in just 34 seconds. Jayna McClory and Zionah Gardner added additional points with forfeit victories at 138 and 145, further extending the Bulldogs' lead.
Albion picked up its lone win of the night at 180, where Brooklyn Sage secured an 8–0 decision over Nahomi Marmolejo. Adrian closed the dual strong at 207, as Mia Gaetjens earned a hard-fought 9–6 decision over Brynn Green.
The Bulldogs women's wrestling team will be back in action Saturday and Sunday at the D3 Invitationals in Rock Island, Illinois.
