ADRIAN, Mich. – The American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) hosted the AHBA Singles Invitational on Saturday at Lenawee Rec in Adrian. Five members of the Adrian College bowling program competed in the event, including two from the men's team and three from the women's team.
The women were led by Victoria McLaughlin, who totaled 1,098 pins across six games to earn the No. 3 seed, highlighted by a high game of 246. Alina Wilgus followed closely, securing the No. 4 seed with a six-game total of 1,077 and a high game of 213. Mara Knochs rounded out the group with a 10th-place finish, posting a total of 956 with a high game of 173.
Following the qualifying rounds, McLaughlin and Wilgus faced off head-to-head for a spot in the semifinals, with Wilgus advancing after a 221-147 victory. Wilgus' run ended in the semifinals, where she fell 209-176.
On the men's side, Austin Garcia led the Bulldogs with a 22nd-place finish, recording a six-game total of 1,065, including a pair of 185 games as his highest scores. Matthew Daniels placed 29th with a total of 987, highlighted by a high game of 188.
The AHBA Singles Invitational marked the final competition of the 2025-26 season for the Adrian College bowling program.
