TULSA, Okla. – Ian Amsbaugh of the Adrian College NCAA men's hockey team signed a contract with the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL on Thursday. The Oilers are the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks. Amsbaugh spent the last three seasons as a member of the Bulldogs.
Amsbaugh appeared in 86 career games at Adrian, totaling 33 goals and 75 assists for 108 points. Ten of his goals came on the power play, while one was shorthanded, and he recorded five game-winning goals. He also finished his career with a +50 plus-minus rating and 26 blocked shots.
During the 2025-26 season, Amsbaugh was named the NCHA Player of the Year and is a finalist for the Sid Watson Award, given to the NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Player of the Year. He is also a two-time NCHA All-Conference selection.
Tulsa currently sits 14th in the ECHL standings with 47 points and a 21-36-5-0 record in the Western Conference. The Oilers return to action on Saturday, March 28, when they host the Trois-Rivières Lions at 7:05 p.m.
