KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA baseball team traveled to Kalamazoo College for the series finale against Kalamazoo College. After the No. 23 Bulldogs split the doubleheader with the No. 10 Hornets on Saturday, Kalamazoo came out to take game three by a 13-1 margin to win the series.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kalamazoo took a 2-0 lead in the second inning.
- In the third, the Hornets rallied to score eight runs to jump out 10-0 with the help of a three-run homer.
- In the fifth inning, Kalamazoo smacked two more home runs along with an RBI double to pull ahead 13-0.
- Brendan Willadsen avoided the shutout in the seventh by hitting a solo homer to right field to bring the final score to 13-1.
- Willadsen had a day at the plate recording four of the team's ten hits. Rolando Jimenez finished the day with two hits for the Bulldogs.
- After the loss, the Bulldogs drop to third in the MIAA standings as they sit at 7-5 begin Kalamazoo (11-1) and Alma (8-3).

The Bulldogs will look to bounce back on Tuesday at Nicolay Field when they host Albion College in the series finale as they look to complete the sweep. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
