OLIVET, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA baseball team opened the series with The University of Olivet on Saturday. The No. 20 Bulldogs took game one of the doubleheader 5-4 before winning the series with a 6-1 victory in game two.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1

• The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on an RBI single from Gabe Jones.
• Olivet took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly and an RBI double.
• The Bulldogs reclaimed the lead in the fifth after a run scoring on a fielder's choice and another RBI single from Jones.
• Rolando Jimenez launched a solo home run in the sixth inning followed by a sacrifice fly from Jake Burns in the seventh to lead 5-2.
• Olivet put up an eighth inning fight taking the score to 5-4, but the Bulldogs shut the door to claim the game one victory.
• Adrian finished the day with ten hits including two from Brendan Willadsen, Nic Bruder, Jones, and Jaxon McGuigan.
• Landon Kozlowski earned another win on the year tossing 5.1 innings allowing two runs on three hits with four strikeouts. Lincoln Lipinski earned his third save of the season with 1.1 innings of scoreless baseball.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2

• McGuigan started the scored with an RBI single in the top of the first to lead 1-0.
• Braxton Bermes made it 2-0 with an RBI ground out which was answered by a sacrifice fly in the fourth by Olivet to make it 2-1.
• Jimenez singled in a run in the sixth inning to pull ahead 3-1.
• Adrian added three runs in the ninth on a bases loaded walk to Christian Oliver, and two RBI singles by Jimenez and Jack Boike to lead 6-1.
• McGuigan and Jimenez led the Bulldogs with three hits while Boike finished the game with two.
• Ambrose Horwath earned his eighth win of the season pitching 5.2 innings allowing one runs on six hits.
