KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Adrian College women's club volleyball team headed down to Kansas City, Missori for the NCVF National Tournament, with the Bulldogs finishing 2-5 overall, falling to Wisconsin-Stout in the Bronze Bracket Semifinals.
Adrian opened up play against Colorado Christian Thursday, falling 2-0, followed by two more 2-0 deficits to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Wright State. The Bulldogs opened up Friday with a 2-0 win over Oswego State before falling to Minnesota State University Moorhead, 2-0. Adrian opened up the Bronze Bracket quarterfinals with a 2-0 sweep over California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, where the Bulldogs moved on to semifinals falling to 2-0 to Wisconsin-Stout.
Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by Ava Schultz with 41 kills, followed by Olivia Grimpo with 24 kills, and Cailey White with 22 kills. Lindsay Bergman led the team in assists with 83 total. While defensively, Jersey Patton held the back row with 46 digs, while White racked up 39 digs, and Schultz with 38 digs on the weekend. From the service line, Schultz delivered seven service aces, while White finished with six service aces.
This concludes the women's NCVF Volleyball team's season, as the Bulldogs finish 10-22-2 on the season.
