ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College has announced the hiring of Sam Wyzlic as the new head coach for both the men's and women's rowing programs. 

Wyzlic graduated from Adrian College in 2025. He has since worked in the school's Office of Marketing & Public Relations as the Marketing Coordinator.

During his time at Adrian, Wyzlic was a prominent member of the rowing team. A four-year varsity coxswain, Wyzlic was unanimously voted as team captain his senior year. He helped lead the Bulldogs to their first two Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship appearances in program history. He played a vital role in the program's first two appearances at the Head of the Charles Regatta, the world's largest three-day rowing event. In 2023, he was named the Adrian College Rowing Team Most Valuable Player. 

Wyzlic excelled off the water as well, being named an Empacher-IRA scholar-athlete three times over the course of his career.

Wyzlic will begin his coaching duties immediately as he prepares the Bulldogs for the 2026-27 campaign.
