ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Kirk Richards announced the hiring of Bradley Hawkins as an assistant coach for the track and field program. Hawkins will serve as the Bulldogs' throws coach and joins a coaching staff that includes Richards, Matthew Gipple, Miles Caine, and Conor Kolka.

Hawkins competed collegiately at Olivet College, where he participated in a variety of field events. During his career, Hawkins recorded personal bests of 12.80 meters in the shot put, 49.48 meters in the hammer throw, 44.47 meters in the javelin, 36.46 meters in the discus, and 14.46 meters in the weight throw.

Hawkins recorded his personal best in the javelin during the 2019 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where he finished third in the event.

Following his collegiate career, Hawkins transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach in football and track and field at Concord High School. During his two seasons coaching throwing events, Hawkins helped multiple student-athletes qualify for regional competition, while two athletes advanced to compete at the state championships.

Hawkins brings both competitive and coaching experience to the Adrian College program and will work directly with the Bulldogs' throwers across the indoor and outdoor seasons. He will begin his coaching responsibilities immediately, assisting with day-to-day team operations and preparations for the 2026-27 season.
