Football Moves to 2-0 After Big Road Win at Thiel

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Adrian College football team continued its strong start to the 2026 season Saturday afternoon, rolling past Thiel College, 48-7. The Bulldogs scored 45 unanswered points after Thiel's opening drive of the second half and improved to 2-0 on the season.

Adrian controlled the game from the opening whistle, totaling 444 yards of total offense, including 187 rushing yards and 257 passing yards. The Bulldogs also converted 9-of-15 third-down opportunities while limiting Thiel to 246 yards of offense.

After David Galligan opened the scoring with a 26-yard field goal in the first quarter, the Bulldogs exploded for 18 points in the second quarter to take a 21-0 lead into halftime.

Sebastian Boswell helped ignite the offensive surge, connecting with Riley Dunbar on an eight-yard touchdown pass before adding two rushing touchdowns of his own. Adrian continued to pull away in the second half as Steven McCoy, Tyson Hill, Jake Wright and Sean Parker each found the end zone on the ground.

Boswell finished the afternoon 21-of-25 passing for 160 yards and a touchdown, while Wright added 73 passing yards and a rushing touchdown. Trey Brueggemann led the Bulldogs on the ground with 68 yards on eight carries, while Hill rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.

Adrian's defense also turned in a strong performance, holding Thiel scoreless through the first three quarters and forcing the Tomcats into just 12 first downs. The Bulldogs recorded an interception and held Thiel to 96 rushing yards on the afternoon.

The Bulldogs will look to carry the momentum into their next contest at Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, September 19 at 1PM.
