ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over Franklin College on Saturday at the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. The Bulldogs opened the match by securing the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 3. Luca Coutinho and Michael Mascarin won 6-4 in the top flight, while Aiden Kuzma and Jayden Miller battled to a 7-5 victory at No. 3.
Mascarin carried the momentum into singles play with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1. Jaxon Nejedlik added a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 4 before Kaiden DePascale earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6. Franklin captured the remaining three singles matches, including two match tiebreakers, but Adrian's three straight-set victories and doubles point secured the 4-3 win.
