ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College ACHA Women's Division 2 hockey team split a pair of games with Indiana University over the weekend. The Bulldogs fell on the road, 4-2, on Saturday before responding with a 3-2 overtime victory in their home opener on Sunday at Arrington Ice Arena.
After dropping Saturday's contest at Indiana, Adrian returned home on Sunday looking to bounce back. Following a scoreless opening period, Indiana scored twice in the second to take a 2-0 lead into the final period.
Adrian began its comeback 5:22 into the third when
Aubrey Morrison found the back of the net. Less than five minutes later,
Gabrielle Paff tied the game at 2-2 with assists from Morrison and
Alexis Alfonsi, eventually sending the game to overtime.
Just 2:22 into the extra period, Ruby Desmadryl scored the game-winner off an assist from Morrison to complete the comeback and secure the weekend split. Morrison led the Bulldogs with three points on a goal and two assists, factoring into all three Adrian goals.
Emily Tracht earned the win in goal with 33 saves.

The Bulldogs will have a weekend off before returning to Arrington Ice Arena for a two-game series against Aurora University during Family Weekend. Adrian will host Aurora on Saturday, October 10 at 7:00 PM before concluding the series on Sunday, October 11 at 4:00 PM.
