Biography

Entering the Season: Postseason awards candidate...one of the best pass rushers in Adrian College football history and in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association...ranks second on the school's all-time sacks and tackles for loss records... 

2016 (Junior Year):

  • Earned All-MIAA for the third time and selected on the first unit for the second year in a row...

2015 (Sophomore Year):

  • Put together an All-MIAA First Team season, recording 51 tackles, including 24 solo, for fourth on the Bulldogs.
  • Led the MIAA in sack yardage (59) and ranked second with 8-1/2 sacks; also had 16-1/2 tackles for loss of 89 yards.
  • Forced a fumble in a 14-3 win at Hope College, where he notched nine tackles including two sacks.
  • Returned a 30-yard interception for his first career touchdown during a 36-7 win versus Benedictine (Ill.).
  • Posted a season-high nine tackles twice on the road--at Albion (Oct. 17) and at Hope (Oct. 31).
  • Donned jersey No. 41.

2014 (Freshman Year):

  • Named second-team All-MIAA after turning in a stalwart freshman season on the defensive line playing in all 11 contests.
  • Registered 31 solo tackles and 27 assists for 58 total tackles as the Bulldogs' leading tackler.
  • Recorded at least three tackles in 10 games, including four solo tackles in his college debut versus Defiance.
  • Had a career-high 10 stops, including eight solo tackles, at Kalamazoo on Nov. 8.
  • Also led the Bulldogs in both tackles for loss (19-1/2, 97 yards) and sacks (12, 83) on the season.
  • Had three quarterback hurries, including two vs. Benedictine on Sept. 20, and forced two fumbles and recovered a pair.
  • Wore No. 33.

Why Did I Choose Adrian College?: "From the time Coach Travis Rubingh stepped foot in my high school, the day he recruited me and my long-term friend Randolph Fry, the instant connection between a player and coach got started. Coach was very enthusiastic about getting me to visit the campus and when I got here I loved it immediately."

What are My Athletic Goals? "To do whatever it is my coaches need me to do to help the progression of the team."

Who has been the Biggest Influence on Me as an Athlete and Why? "My mother has been my back bone, supporting me and my little brother through hard times. Watching her struggle and the way we lived, my drive in sports became a burning desire to be a great athlete." 

What is My Career Goal? "Graduate college with multiple degrees."

 

High School:

  • Graduated in 2014 from Lee M. Thurston located in Redford, Mich.
  • Football accolades included 2012 honorable mention all-conference, 2013 first-team all-west, 2014 first- team all-conference, first-team all-west and was named to the All-Observer Team.
  • Played for Coach Bob Snell, helping the Eagles to a 28-11 record.
  • Named to the THS Honor Roll during junior and senior years and he was a member of Junior Kappa.
  • Volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
  • Played amateur football for the West Side Steelers from 2003 to 2010, winning four Ford Field championships and earning multiple team defensive most valuable player awards.

  • Born Damon Antione Fuller on Dec. 13, 1995, in Detroit...son of Damon Fuller and Tamisha Jones.
