What are your athletic goals?: "To dominate every time I touch the floor, encourage my teammates, remain humble, keep God first and to win."
Who has been the biggest influence on you as an athlete and why?: "My dad, because no matter what time of day, he always made time to me take me to the gym and support my dreams. I would also have to thank all my coaches for leading me along the way.
What is your career goal?: "To be a pediatrician or physicians' assistant."
High School: Graduated from Kalamazoo Central in 2016...four-year varsity player...won two district championships under Coach Dan Throton, as KCHS went 20-5 in 2014 and 19-5 in 2015...also played on 2016 district title team (18-5) coached by Matthew Price...twice named to the MLIVE Kalamazoo Gazette Dream Team (2015-2016)...Class A All-State Team in 2015...a three-time all-conference selection, including to the first team during her junior and senior seasons...played three positions at point guard, shooting guard and forward...served in a teen youth group...also volunteered in a children's ministry.
Travel Team Information: Played four seasons for the Battlecats, who posted a 60-9 record from 2012-16...earned team's best defensive player award...earned a spot on the 2014 Amateur Athletic Union-sanctioned U.S. Junior National All-Tournament Team in Washington D.C., averaging 15.5 points, 5.1 assists, 5.2 steals...second-leading scorer at the event.
Personal: Born Sadia Joellen Johnson on June 13, 1998 in Kalamazoo, Mich....daughter of Charles Johnson and Paulette Hamilton...both parents attended Western Michigan University...nickname is SJ...Favorites: sports team--NBA's Golden State Warriors; athletes--Stephen Curry, Mya Moore, Skylar Diggins; movies--Finding Nemo, Love & Basketball and Maze Runner; musicians/groups--Beyoncé, A-boogie, Drake, Future and Rihanna; foods--ice-cream and French fries are the best...enjoys playing and watching basketball, shopping and hanging with friends...academic major is biology, with a minor in psychology.
