This year, Alex Bellfy begins his first season as a Bulldogs Assistant Coach, overseeing the Defensive Backs.
Prior to Adrian, Bellfy spent time as a Special Teams Coordinator and a Running Backs Coach at Manchester University. His responsibilities included, but were not limited to: leading meetings, drills, game & practice planning, in game adjustments & substitutions, play calling, film breakdown & analysis, and scouting reports.
Bellfy also coached at Lawrence Tech. University as the Special Teams Coordinator, Wide Receivers Coach, Running Backs Coach, and Strength/Conditioning Coordinator.
As a student athlete, Bellfy played collegiately for Eastern Michigan University. At EMU, Bellfy was recruited as a preferred walk-on for defensive safety. His career accolades include: earning a full athletic scholarship his senior year, awarded “Eagle Talons Warrior”, for tenacious team effort and leadership throughout the season, and earning 4 varsity letters as a defensive safety.
During his professional career, Bellfy was both a player and a coach for the Hildesheim Invaders in Germany. As a player, Bellfy was a strong safety, linebacker, and wide receiver. His efforts Awarded him the team’s most valuable player. An award that was voted on by the players and coaches of the Invaders. For his coaching responsibilities, Bellfy led the defensive backs, linebackers, and defensive line.
Additionally, Bellfy earned a M.A. in Construction Engineering Management from Lawrence Technological University in December of 2020.
