Jacob Hankish was added to the Adrian College football staff in the spring of 2022. Hankish is a 2017 graduate of Heidelberg University where he went on to received a masters degree from Roosevelt University.
Hankish was a four-time letterman for Heidelberg as an offensive tackle from 2013-16. During his college football career, he was a First-Team All-OAC pick and a Second Team All-District North selection by D3football.com in 2016. In 2015, he was named Second Team All-OAC.
His coaching experience started with helping Gibsonburg High School where he coached the offensive and defensive lines along with the supervision of the strength program during season. He also coordinated the special teams units when it came to PATs and field goals.
After graduating from Heidelberg, he was was a graduate assistant at Robert Morris in Illinois where he coached running backs and the offensive line. He led positional meetings and assisted in film breakdowns. Hankish assisted in recruiting in the Chicago, St. Louis, and Northwest Indiana areas.
After Robert Morris, Hankish spent a season at Illinois State as a graduate assistant where he specialized with the defense line. He assisted practice planning and game day operations along with video breakdown and scouting.
Hankish will begin his duties immediately and will specialize with the defensive line. He will also assist in recruiting and will have his first year as assistant coach at Adrian during the 2022 fall season.Â
