Coach Steve Hankish joined the Adrian College football coaching staff in the spring of 2022. He began his coaching career back in 1986.
From 1986-96, Hankish was the varsity football coach at Lake High School before heading to Holland Springfield High School in 2000 where he was named Defensive Coordinator for a season in 2003. After that, he went to Genoa High School for two seasons as Defensive Coordinator before going back to Lake High School in 2006 where he served as Defensive Coordinator from 2007-11.
After his second stint at Lake, he spent 2012 at Fremont St. Joe as the Defensive Coordinator before heading fo Gibsonburg High School for four seasons. In 2017, Hankish switched schools and went to Toledo St. John's for a pair of seasons before arriving at Rossford High School from 2019-21.
Hankish graduated with a building maintenance degree in 2000 from Owens Community College. He is married to his wife Cheryl and has three children and a granddaughter.
Hankish will serve as a volunteer assistant coach for the Adrian College.
