Biography

Entering the Season: Adds depth to the Bulldogs' defensive corps...returning three-time consensus All-American on the blueline...shoots right...Bulldogs' top-returning scorer with 30 points...team captain after serving as an alternate during junior year...

2017-18 (Junior Year): 

  • Repeated on All-America teams by American Hockey Coaches Association/CCM (First Team) and USCHO.com (Second Team).
  • Tied career high with 27 assists, which led the team; fourth overall in scoring with 30 points.
  • All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association pick for the third season.
  • Three-time D3hockey.com National Team of the Week (Nov. 15, Dec. 5, Jan. 30).
  • Made Academic All-NCHA for the first time.
  • NCHA All-Tournament Team.
  • Had 52 shots on goal and a plus-28 rating, which topped the Bulldogs.

2016-17 (Sophomore Year): 

  • Earned first-team All-America accolades from both the AHCA/CCM and UUSCHO.com.
  • All-NCHA choice after leading the league with 36 total points, including 24 on the power play (8g, 16a).
  • His 36 points rank third all-time in a single-season for AC blueliners.
  • Tied Bulldogs defensemen with a 17-plus rating and 68 shots on goal.
  • Posted career highs of four assists and five points during a 9-2 home win over Aurora on Jan. 6; also had seven shots in that game.
  • Twice made the D3hockey.com Team of the Week on Nov. 30 and Feb. 22.
  • Began the season with a nine-point scoring streak in which he netted four goals and nine assists for 13 total points.

2015-16 (Freshman Year):

  • Had an impressive debut season that included All-America accolades from three organizations, including HERO Sports, AHCA/CCM (Second Team) and D3hockey.com (Third Team).
  • Named All-NCHA after scoring six goals among 31 points as one of the nation's most prolific scorers.
  • Led the NCHA and NCAA Division III with 25 assists and 31 points from the blue line--totals that also were in the top-10 at the conference and national levels for rookie marks.
  • Tied for 11th in NCHA overall scoring.
  • Lone freshman on the D3hockey.com All-America team.
  • Member of the NCHA All-Tournament team, helping the Bulldogs capture the Harris Cup.
  • A three-time winner on the D3hockey National Team of the Week (Jan. 19, Feb. 17, Feb. 23).
  • Also registered a plus-27 rating and had 54 shots on goal
  • Tallied an assist in his collegiate debut in the team's season opener at Milwaukee Engineering on Oct. 30.
  • The following afternoon, he deposited his first career goal over the Raiders in a 5-3 win.
  • Twice had a season-high four points in a game--a goal and three assists, both times against Lawrence (Jan. 29) and Concordia-Wis. (Feb. 12).
  • Also had three assists versus Lake Forest (Jan. 16).
  • Finished the season on a five-game point-scoring streak (1g+6a=7p).

Before Adrian College:

  • Played for the Austin Bruins of the North American Junior Hockey League.
  • Graduated from Trenton High School in 2012.
  • Played on 2010 state hockey championship team and was a two-time first-team all-Michigan (2010-11, 2011-12) choice.
  • Volunteer work included helping blind persons learn to skate.
