Adrian College

Josh Ward was an assistant coach for Adrian College Women's Basketball during the 2017-18 season and returns to the program in 2020-21 as a volunteer coach. He originally came to the Bulldogs after serving two seasons in a similar capacity at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio.

While with the Purple Raiders, he assisted the head coach in all facets of the day-to-day operations for the program. He helped lead Mount Union to the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference championship and coaches OAC Player of the Year and All-American Annie Bova and second-team all-conference honoree Katie Reed.

Ward's other coaching experience includes Penn (Ohio) Athletic Club girls' coach (2015), University of Pittsburgh at Titusville men's assistant coach (2014-15), Hermitage School District varsity boys' assistant coach (2012-14), HSD 9th-grade boys' head coach (2013-14) and HSD 8th-grade boys' head coach (2012-13).

Ward started his collegiate basketball playing career at NCAA Division III Thiel College before transferring to Division II Ohio Valley University in Vienna, W.Va. He played the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons with the Fighting Scots.

He received a bachelor of science degree in wellness education from OVU in 2011. He earned his master's degree in exercise science and health promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2014.
