Why did you choose Adrian College?: "It's a really nice college and everyone is so nice. It's a very nice environment where I would adapt fast."
What are your Athletic Goals?: "To be ranked the No. 1 team in the conference and to work hard all season long."
Who has been the biggest influence on you as an athlete and why?:"Both of my parents have been such a huge impact on me. I don’t know where to start. They always support me through anything I want to do no matter the cost or time. They always remind me that there’s nothing out there that I am not capable of doing and when God is on my side I cannot lose. My dad especially though has been so tough on me and I never realized why. He wouldn’t tell me what I did well...he tells me what I need to improve and that is something that I remember is to work on the things that I am weak or lack. So to him I thank him and I thank my mom."
What is your Career Goal?: "To become a trauma nurse."
High School Information: Graduated in 2017 from Northrop located in Fort Wayne, Ind....lettered two years at Carroll under Coach Mark Redding before transferring to NHS...played a season at Northrop for Coach Rashida Ray-Muhammad...Lady Fire under coach Norman Amos, Legit Basketball under coach Juan Gorman and Always 100 under coach Rashida Ray-Muhammad
Personal: Born Kayla Janae Woods on March 4, 1999 in Fort Wayne, Ind., to parents Wanda and Joseph...a bio-med major with a minor in athletic training...father, Joseph, played college basketball at Lawson State for two years...Favorites: sports teams--WNBA's Minnesota Lynx; athletes--Maya Moore and Dwight Howard; TV show--Grey’s Anatomy; movie--Love and Basketball; musician/group--Meek Mill; food--Mom’s homemade macaroni and cheese...loves playing and watching basketball.
