ADRIAN, Mich. - Three seniors were honored on Senior Night and all three had a major role in the Bulldogs 3-2 win over visiting Albion. Lindsey Eshelman, a native of Adrian, led the team with 25 kills and also recorded a double-double with 16 digs. She hit .317 for the match and now has a total of 282 kills on the season taking over the team lead. Jessica Beckman had a fine match in the back row with 16 digs and also had one kill in three attacks on the evening. Sara Morningstar, a native of Addison, tallied 14 kills and seven block assists while hitting .297 on 37 attacks.
Adrian claimed victory by the scores of 27-30, 31-29, 30-20, 26-30 and 15-10. The Bulldogs hit .251 for the match while Albion was held to a .119 hitting percentage. The Bulldogs recorded 12 team blocks and a total of 82 kills as a team. Natalie Niblock hit .421 including 10 kills at her setter spot. She also had 66 assists, 13 digs and seven block assists.
AC is now 14-9 overall and 10-4 in the MIAA having won their last three matches, all in five games. Adrian is now 5-1 in five game matches.
