Bulldogs Orchestrate 7-6 Comeback Win at #7 Neumann

ASTOR, Pa. - The men's ice hockey team provided high drama on Sunday with a dramatic 7-6 win in overtime over #7 Neumann. The Bulldogs struggled during the first two periods and found themselves in a 6-2 hole after 40 minutes. Adrian showed their true character in the third period by scoring four times to tie the game at 6-6 and send things into overtime for the first time in the history of the program.

The Bulldogs got a big break in the extra session as Kyle Casey went into the penalty box for hooking at 1:20 for Neumann. Adrian got the game-winning goal with just five seconds left on the power play off the stick of Jeremy Klaver at 3:15. Klaver's second goal of the season was assisted by Eric Miller and Quinn Waller and Adrian improved its record to 2-2 on the season.

Brad Fogal came into the game after Neumann's second goal of the game and played 41:10 in net for Adrian. He made 26 saves and allowed four goals but did make five saves in overtime to give the Bulldogs a chance at the victory. Bryan Scott got the start in net and made 19 saves in 22:05.

Adrian College really made the most of their opportunities on the power play going 6-of-8 while Neumann was 4-of-9 with the man advantage. Neumann outshot Adrian, 51-40, for the game as the Warriors scored five goals in the second period. Adam Krug and Eric Miller each had four points on the afternoon. Krug had one goal and three assists while Miller notched two goals and two assists.

Klaver's game-winning goal was his second of the day and he also added an assist for three points. Mark Van Vliet led all players with five points including one goal and four assists for Neumann.
