The men's hockey shook off a loss last night with a convincing 10-1 win over Neumann on Sunday. The Bulldogs scored 24 seconds into the game and never looked back. Adam Krug scored his sixth goal of the year to get last night's memory out of their minds early. It took less than a minute for Adrian to make it 2-0 as Sam Kuzyk took a shot from the right wing which beat goaltender Jordan Erickson on the second shot on goal for Adrian. Jeremy Klaver made it 3-0 at the 4:17 mark for his first of the year with an assist from Mike Towns and the Bulldogs were looking a lot like last year's offensive juggernaut.
The second period was where the Bulldogs turned the game into a laugher scoring four times to take a 7-0 lead. The big play was a five-minute major against Charles Paterson which led to three power play goals during the five minutes in the box for Paterson. Eric Miller scored back-to-back goals at 7:18 and 8:26 for his third and fourth goals of the year and Shawn Skelly added his third with an assist from Quinn Waller.
Skelly added two more goals in the third for the hat trick at his scored at 12:09 and 14:34 on the power play with assists from Miller and Waller. Waller finished the game with four assists and a +4 rating. Miller had four points with two assists on the day. Skelly's five points led the team and his four shots on goal tied with Krug. Krug added three assists during the game to give him 11 points in four games this season.
Brad Fogal picked up the win in net for the Bulldogs. He made 21 saves and allowed just one power play goal in the second. AC finished with 39 shots on goal and were a perfect 4-for-4 on the power play.
